Welcome to Cairns (well Port Douglas actually but hey). Our first taste of the rainforest and a definite change from the 'Red Centre'. The first thing that hit us was the humidity, it was like walking out of the plane into a sauna. This is the Radisson Treetops hotel where we stayed. It had a huge salt water pool complete with waterfalls and the restaurant on the left overlooking the water.
